In Changing Times It's Time For A Change..!!
15th January 2016
It's not my first post of 2017 and sure won't be the last post of 2017 for Peter Hulbert but what I will say is that it is a change in direction of post's for 2017 and one with a very positive view to both life, prosperity and attitude. My life has so many positives in it today, it would be hard to ever see how I could fail. However, complacency is what most people fail through and as such my focus is still firmly fixed upon the target and my eyesight is perfect and the target is a huge turning point.
My intentions with this blog is to stay true and loyal to my values and only work and focus on people with integrity as it's core quality and never to suffer fools for any reason be it emotion or profit. The simple rule being that "I Cannot be bought".
As anyone knows that is close to me, wildlife has a very significant part of my life and photography plays a key role and pastime that I enjoy with a passion. I would like to make claim to the picture to the left but whilst I do not know who took the pictures, what I do know is that if it is is real and not fake, that was a one in a million to which if I had of taken it, would be truly proud of such an image that has such a story behind it. As anyone will tell you, wildlife are very uncooperative when it comes to taking pictures and capturing such an image takes a great deal of skill and technology and I am a true sceptic of such a quality image and will explain why. My first observation is the position of the Deer. It is stood almost dead centre of the trees and Deer are notoriously timid and scared and as such would rarely ever be out in the complete open such as this. Additionally, Deer are a herding animal and once again are rarely seen alone and finally but importantly the image does not show any footprints or tracks and my suspicions are aroused to too many coincidences all on the one picture but in an effort to show support for such an image I truly hope it is real and not faked as this would kill the whole concept of photography in so many ways.
Some photographs just can't be fake for so many reasons. One of those reasons can be found to the right. This is a view across lake Geneva in Switzerland and was taken in a minus 30% sub arctic wind to which was blowing across the surface of the lake and causing unusually high waves and throwing the surface of the water into the air and landing on both the trees and cars parked along the lakeside. The result is just as you can see it and the affect was something of beauty unless one of those cars were yours. You can see by the angle of the icicles hanging from the tree that they were blowing whilst freezing at the same time and the severity of frost was something of a spectacle for anyone visiting Geneva and not being used to such cold.
There is an almost special type of beauty associated with the winter and to the left is a picture taken at my local river just last week where the moment shows two mallard ducks taking off from a very cold stretch of water and flying over a very ancient crossing point of the river whist capturing the light of the sun as it filters through the trees. On this particular occasions, I was alone on the river in the freezing cold and the ducks played a crucial part of what was about 25-30 takes all of which were quite boring until the Ducks took to the stage to improve the story in the picture.
If I were to offer one piece of advice to budding enthusiasts of photography, it would be first to learn that art of patience and failure is part of the education and experience.
This is a view out over the grounds of Cannon Hall and was taken in Autumn. I named it the "Gates of Heaven" and it is in memory and tribute to someone very close to my world although so far away. I do not with to say too much about this picture and would prefer that you just enjoy the view and savour your thoughts.
Cannon Hall is about to undergo a major restoration this year and I hope that the changes do not loose sight of the wonders of this beautiful building for all it's glory. I would like to pay tribute to the people who dedicated so much of there valuable time and resources in securing the funding to invest in the future of Cannon Hall to which brings so many people such a wonderful day out enjoying the grounds and gardens of such splendour.
My final reference is to thank each and every one of you for reading my posts and on occasions writing to me with your comments. Its truly lifting to ones spirits when you write for a few hours and find that someone out there appreciates the hard work and effort that has gone into making these posts in which to share with you all.

31st January 2017
Today is the last day of the first month of 2017, it sounds like it should be significant but for some reason it is not. However, tomorrow is the fist day of the second month of the year of 2017 and maybe all will change.
I always like to start and end my rants with something that will give you all some kind of honesty of humour and happiness and if I do that today, I shall be delighted as for the most part of January, it's been quite boring although Im reliably informed that for most people, that has been the case for them too so lets look to the left and enjoy a little humour of sort and try and embrace the joke in all it's glory.
For those in the UK who keep asking me if I will be contributing toward the UK Red Nose day antics in 2017, the answer is clearly no at this point as I have not been asked to partake but it's still early in the year and I feel we will be doing something positive by way of contribution before the end the Red Nose year and I will let you all know in due course what we come up with. I would like to encourage people from deprived background if we do anything.
It's been a long and lengthy week in Politics and by this comment, I mean the USA although today we in the UK started the process of seeking Parliamentary consent to implement article 50 which starts the process of leaving the UK. For the USA, Mr Trump extended his controversial decision making by drawing a temporary halt to visit the USA from several countries although has been grossly miss-represented as it is only a 90 day approval process and not an indefinite delay and is very similar to the process the outgoing President offered some time back whilst still in power.
For all of my dearest and loyal friends and supporters toward the things that they want to know are still happening and progress is real, I can confirm that the bridge was slightly damaged but not beyond repair and as such I ask that you remember who I am and what I am able to achieve. My focus is very real and the end product is not so far away. Anything and everything can be repaired with enough good will and quality people around and to that end, the best of the best are always to be defined from the rest by the qualities that they bring with them. Good people will always be good people and the bad ones will always have an excuse for them selves. I call it BS but in truth I never let them know it.
I have rather an important week ahead with some mind blowing people involved and ready to contribute in the new project to which is still top secret. I have not been across to Huddersfield this week as I have been in the south of England as well as the south west but I expect to return to Holmfirth next week for the final approval on the building and new stage presence and a presentation of thanks to all of the supporters.
